Can I have someone else pick up my supplies?

Yes. They must present two patient identifiers at time of pickup, such as first and last name, phone number, address, Social Security information or date of birth.

Can I rent equipment?

Most of our equipment is rentable. For medical equipment prescribed by a physician, your insurance company may determine if the device is billed as a rental or purchase. Most rentals are a monthly fee.

Do I need a prescription for some products?

We will need a prescription if the device is used for a specific medical condition and is billable by insurance.

Do you deliver or ship products?
We provide delivery services for most of our supplies. Ask our sales team how we can best accommodate your needs.
Does Medicare cover home medical equipment?

Medicare covers a variety of home medical equipment. The list includes:

  • Hospital beds

  • Orthopedic bracing
  • Oxygen

  • Pressure mattresses

Does Equip buy back home medical equipment?

As directed by our accreditation standards, Equip does not buy back equipment previously purchased by a patient or insurance company.

We do accept some equipment donations from individuals who wish to donate devices to a specific department or to patients with financial hardship. We only accept equipment that properly functions and meets all the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Does Equip carry pediatric home medical equipment?
We provide devices to people of all ages. Children can use most of our listed equipment, as we can adapt our products to pediatric sizes.
Does Equip sell CPAP supplies?
We do. Our trained staff and team of respiratory therapists are ready to fit CPAP equipment for our customers and instruct them in its use. All of our locations have CPAP therapy available.
Does Equip sell used home medical equipment?

We want all of our customers to enjoy the full manufacturer warranty for the products they purchase. Because of this, we don’t usually sell used equipment.

Is your equipment safe to be used by nonprofessionals?

We sell durable medical equipment intended to be used by nonprofessionals. Our products are designed to withstand repeated use in the home by people without training.

What are your locations’ hours?

Hours vary by store. Check your specific location.

What if my equipment breaks?

We honor all manufacturer warranties. In most cases, you can rent a replacement device while your equipment is evaluated and repaired.

What if you don’t carry the equipment I need?

Our locations have access to equipment and supplies from a wide range of vendors. Our network can help you find the item that best suits your needs.

What is home medical equipment?

Home medical equipment is a category of devices used by people who receive care at home from nonprofessional caregivers or family members.

What is your return policy?

All refunds or exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase.

Items that are used, worn next to the skin, fitted or labeled as a single patient disposable item may not be returned unless covered by a manufacturer warranty.

We do not provide refunds or exchanges without a receipt or for products with opened, broken or missing packages. Refunds greater than $25 will be mailed to the customer within 30 days of the return.

What will my insurance cover?

Coverage will vary by the insurance policy. If you need medical equipment prescribed by your physician, we will contact your insurance to learn the details of your plan’s coverage.

Please note that some insurance policies require us to get prior authorization for some medical devices. This process can take anywhere from five to 20 days.
